Dental Bonding

At our Winnipeg dental clinic, we often use non-invasive dental bonding in cosmetic procedures to alter the colour, shape, and symmetry of patients' teeth.

What is Dental Bonding?

Dental bonding is the application of a tooth-colored resin to a damaged tooth, using adhesives and a high intensity curing light. Dental bonding is typically used for cosmetic purposes, to repair tooth decay, chips and discolouration for a more even smile.

Cosmetic Applications of Bonding

As cosmetic dental treatments go, dental bonding is relatively non-invasive. The composite resin used in bonding can be shaped and polished to blend in with the tooth being repaired, and to match with the surrounding natural teeth.

Dental bonding is most often used to repair discolored or chipped teeth, but it is also often used to close gaps between teeth, to make teeth appear longer, or to change their shape or colour, making them look more symmetrical.
