Winnipeg Dental Team

I graduated from the School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Manitoba in 2009. Providing my patients with gentle care is important to me as I want my patients to feel comfortable and at ease during their dental appointments. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends.

Dora graduated from the School of Dental Hygiene, University of Manitoba in 1996. Dora is a member of the College of Dental Hygienists of Manitoba.

I was born and raised in Bulacan, Philippines. My family and I moved to Winnipeg in 2005. I graduated from the School of Dental Hygiene at the University of Manitoba in 2012, following in my mom’s footsteps who also works in the dental field. I also like to play basketball and play the guitar.

I graduated from the University of Manitoba’s hygiene program in 2013 and joined Academy Dental that same year. I was born and raised in Auckland. New Zealand, and moved to Winnipeg in 2006. In my spare time, I enjoy strength training, reading, biking, and exploring foods of different cultures. I am eager to build good relationships with all my patients.

I graduated from the University of Manitoba School of Dental Hygiene in 1997. I have been working within General Practice setting for most of my career, having also spent some time working in a Paediatric Specialty clinic. I grew up in River Heights and I am happy to be again living and working in such a great neighbourhood. In my spare time I am a hobby photographer, avid bird watcher, and enjoy travelling with my two, school aged children.

I graduated from University of Manitoba's School of Dental hygiene program in 1988 and have been a member in the good standing of the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association for over 30 years. Locally, I volunteer at the Siloam Mission's dental clinic and mentor dental hygiene students at the University of Manitoba. I have also been fortunate to provide yearly humanitarian dental hygiene services to Haiti and the Dominican Republic since 2007.

I graduated from CDI college in 2012 with a diploma in Dental Assisting. I have been with Academy Dental Group since 2019. Being able to help people is what drew me into dentistry. With over 10 years of direct patient care experience it is the connections I develop with patients that I truly love most about this field. Aside from the clinical component, communication and patient comfort is of the utmost importance.

I decided to further my education and completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience in 2022. Outside of the dental field I also work in Cancer research and do volunteer work at a nonprofit and charitable organization. In my spare time I enjoy working out, travelling, trying new restaurants and tasting culturally diverse foods or out and about with friends and family.

Romana is an enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant who earned her certificate from CDI College. Before coming to Canada, she worked as a dental assistant for twelve years in the Middle Eastern Region. Romana is friendly and compassionate, ensuring the highest quality of patient care delivery.

Romana is an active member of a Christian church, serving as treasurer and one ifs officer.

Through regular spiritual nourishment, she claims to find balance in her life.

I graduated from Red River College's Dental Assisting program in 1999 and started at Academy Dental in 2001. I take pride in ensuring our patients are comfortable and have a positive experience in our office. Away from the office, I enjoy running and spending time with my husband and our son.

I graduated from the CDI College dental assisting program in 2016. I enjoy interacting with patients and making their experience as positive and comfortable as possible.

In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends, and going to the cabin with my dog.

I graduated from Red River College’s Dental Assisting program in 2007, and joined Academy Dental in 2008. I love to make staff and patients laugh with my crazy sense of humor. I love doing the crosswords at lunch time and reading up on the latest Hollywood gossip!

I graduated from Red River College’s Dental Assisting program in 2003, and have been at Academy Dental ever since! In addition to my regular assisting duties, I also enjoy training new staff when they join our team, working with our new impression software, Itero, and taking the time to ensure patients are comfortable and understand their treatment. I also volunteer in my community and spend spare time with family and friends.

I’m funny!

I joined Academy Dental in June of 2007, but have been in the dental field since 1985, originally starting out as a Dental Assistant and then moving into the administration side. Outside of work, my husband and I keep busy with our childrens’ sports and activities.

I have been with Academy Dental Group since 2004, but I have over 35 years of experience working in the dental field. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family, camping and attending the folk fest.

I have worked in the dental field for three years. I love to meet and interact with all the patients in the office. I really enjoy this. When I am not working, I am out and about with friends and in the summer on the golf course.

In 2006, I entered the Dental Assisting course at CDI College. 16 years later in the field, I have found my calling in management. I love assisting my colleagues and patients anytime they need me and I always do my best to make sure that everyone is supported any way I can support them.

Away from work I am a mom to 2 beautiful children with one on the way. I teach Zumba after work hours and am currently in the process of becoming a Yoga Instructor.
